Waste mitigation using vermicomposting and production of organic fertilizers

Abstract : An environment is the natural world where all organisms, both living and non-living, coexist and communicate closely with one another. In the natural world, organisms rely on one another to grow and survive. Many species of plants and animals coexist under a variety of environmental conditions. All living things, including humans, animals, dirt, rocks, trees, and mountains, are included in the environment. The biggest challenge these days is environmental changes occurring due to anthropogenic activities. The effects can easily be seen on biodiversity, climate change, and human health. Waste management is yet another issue that mankind is facing due to its actions. Waste is not only affecting human health but also posing a threat to flora and other faunal species. In this article, efforts have been made to compile information on waste, its sources, types, and management strategies.
