Taxonomic structure of zooplankton (Metazoa) of the Cascade Reservoirs of the Kura River (Azerbaijan)
Abstract : The article provides information about the species composition and taxonomic structure of zooplankton (metazoa) in the Cascade Reservoirs of the Kura River (Varvara, Mingachevir, Yenikend Reservoirs) in 2019-2025. Currently, research is ongoing at the Shamkir reservoir. The aim of this study taxonomically analyze the species composition of metazooplankton in the Cascade Reservoirs of the Kura River in the current period. During the present study 2019-2025, it was found that the zooplankton the Cascade Reservoirs of the Kura River consists of 59 species and 40 genera belonging to 21 families. By number of species and genera the most diverse family is Cyclopidae (12 species ≈ 20,3 % and 8 genera = 20,0%).
