Eriophyoid mites (Acari: Eriophyoidea) from Ankara-Türkiye

Abstract : A comprehensive survey conducted in Ankara province between 2003 and 2007 resulted in the identification of 100 species, which were reported in the doctoral dissertation of Denizhan (2007). During the years in which these species were identified, eriophyid species were identified in many districts of Ankara province, but some species were not found in some districts. Furthermore, no study has been conducted in this region for approximately 15 years to identify eriophyid. In surveys conducted in 2025, eriophyid species were identified specifically in these districts. 10 species were identified for the eriophyid mite fauna of Türkiye. The identified eriophyid species are Aceria avanensis Bagdasarian, 1970, Aceria erinea Nalepa, 1891, Aceria salicina (Nalepa, 1911), Eriophyes armeniacus Bagdasarian, 1970, Eriophyes pyri Pagenstecher, 1857, Aculus fockeui Nalepa & Trouessart, 1891, Aculus mogeri (Farkas, 1960), Aculus schlechtendali Nalepa 1890, Phyllocoptes amygdali (Bagdasarian, 1972), Colomerus vitis Pagenstecher, 1857.
